First circular

Russian avalanche association and journal «Hydrosphere. Hazard processes and phenomena» invites you and your colleagues to take part in the conference «Snow avalanches and related subjects» which will take place on October 27-28, 2022, online. The conference will cover a wide range of problems related to snow avalanches and snow science, avalanche mitigation measures and will be focused on recent results merging theory and practice. Reports with objectives and directions for their solution are welcomed. A computer presentation (power point) will be used to demonstrate the reports (most probably using Zoom). Each oral report, together with the discussion, will take about 30 minutes.

Participation in the conference is free.

The conference program will be prepared based on the results of the distribution of the second circular.

The extended abstracts will be published in a separate issue of the peer-reviewed journal «Hydrosphere. Hazard processes and phenomena» (http://hydro-sphere.ru/index.php/hydrosphere), which is published four times a year.

Short and extended abstracts are accepted in Russian and English.

Extended abstracts prepared according to the rules of the journal must be submitted to the journal «Hydrosphere. Hazard processes and phenomena» no later than November 10, 2022.
