"Snow avalanches and related subjects"

October 27-28, 2022

The conference will cover wide range of problems related to snow avalanches and snow science, avalanche mitigation measures and will be focused on recent results merging theory and practice. A computer presentation (power point) will be used to demonstrate the reports (most probably using Zoom). Each oral report, together with the discussion, will take about 30 minutes.

Reports with objectives of snow avalanches-related problems and suggested directions for their solving are welcomed.

Abstracts
Abstracts (no more than 1 page) in Russian or English are submitted to the organizing committee by October 10, 2022 in electronic form at: avalanche-conference@ya.ru
Abstracts shall be printed in Russian or English; a bilingual version is welcome. Abstracts shall include: (1) the title in Russian and English, printed in capital letters, located at the top and aligned in the center of the page, (2) the surname (s) and initials of the author (s) indicating the place of work and email addresses located immediately after the title and aligned in the center. Presentation of abstracts in Microsoft Word format. Abstracts will be presented at the conference website for review.
Presentations and posters
Oral reports. The duration of the report should not exceed 30 minutes (including discussion). A computer presentation in ppt format is used to demonstrate the reports.
Posters. The size of the poster should not exceed A1 format, the orientation of the sheet is vertical, pdf format.

Special Issue
There will be the opportunity to publish your work in the special issue of the journal «Hydrosphere. Hazard processes and phenomena» which has four issues per year.
Publications are accepted in Russian and English (prepared according to the rules of the journal) and should be submitted to the journal no later than November 10, 2022.
